Frank ShamrockFrank Shamrock could be considered the best MMA fighter of all time! Frank held the UFC middleweight title up until he retired, and still makes the occasional appearence in the ring.
Frank Shamrock's Bio:Frank Shamrock was born in Santa Monica on December 8, 1972. Frank came from a broken family and was adopted by Bob Shamrock who introduced him to martial arts through training with Frank's adopted brother Ken. In 1994, Frank began training for Pancrase, where Ken tought him the art of submission fighting. Frank made his debut in Pancrase in December 1994. Frank performed well in the Pancrase organisation but after Ken left Pancrase, Frank's performance dwindled. Frank Shamrock started fighting in the UFC in 1997 where he fought the unbeaten Kevin Jackson for the UFC lightweight title. That night Frank Shamrock shocked everyone, making Kevin submit in just 22 seconds to take the title for himself. Frank successfully defended his title against many opponents, including one with John Lober, who he previously lost to. Fighting John Lober was personal for Frank as John had stirred up emotions by sending dirty emails and bad mouthing him. Frank Shamrock defeated John Lober in just 7 minutes, a satisfying victory. In 1998 Frank Shamrock fought Tito Ortiz to defend his title, in an extraordinary close match. Frank ended up with the win by pummelling his opponents head with punches. After this fight Frank Shamrock retired from the UFC, handing in his title. These days Frank Shamrock pops up in the odd fight, usually fighting as a special guest.
