Gene Rychlak's Bio:Gene Rychlak is no stranger to huge bench pressing. He's been involved in the big benching scene for many years. Until recently (Febuary 2006) Gene Rychlak held the bench press world record at 1005 pounds. Gene was the first man to break the infamous 1000 pound mark. Not only that, but Gene Rychlak was also the first man to bench over 900 pounds. Gene is pushed constantly by his closest rival and friend Scott Mendelson. The two big men of benching have been pushing each other for years. Gene Rychlak trains hard all year round, hitting the bench for up to 2 hour sessions every 4-5 days. He focuses not only on the bench but other power moves like squats and deadlifts. Gene Rychlak is incredibly strong. Gene Rychlak's Achievements:Genes main achievements are being the first man to bench 900lbs and the first man to bench 1000lbs. Gene has a string of heavy benches between the 800 and 1000 pound mark. Gene says soon he'll be pushing 1050lbs.
