Josh BurkmanJosh Burkman has been a tough fighter since his early teens. When he decided to take up MMA and UFC fighting Josh Burkman said "I wanted to challenge a real fighter to see if they could beat me since the street fighters were no competition"! Adn since then, fighting has been Josh Burkman's lifestyle.
Josh Burkman's Bio:Josh Burkman first appeared on the fighting scene in mid 2002. Josh was no stranger to strength sports. He competed in wrestling, football and baseball while in high school in Salt Lake City. Josh Burkman was a leader in all sports which landed him the captains role in both his football and baseball teams. I was in high school that Josh Burkman developed a passion for wrestling. He was by far the strongest wrestler in his school. In his last year of high school Josh competed in the all state wrestling championships where he got 2nd place in his weight division. Josh Burkman's first taste of real fighting was when he signed up for a local fighting competition called the Ultimate Combat Experience. Josh had always been a streetfighter and this was a way he could fight and not get in trouble! Josh lost his first fight, but his interest was now in full contact MMA fighting. This is when he begun his MMA training. Josh Burkman then went on to win the new 9 of his amateur fights. Josh was very popular amoungst fans and this earned him the nickname "The Peoples Warrior". Josh then launched his professional fighting career. His first fight was in Portland, Oregon. The fight was called a draw. But Josh Burkman's fighting talent was noticed by promoters and he was asked to train with the Team Quest. Training with Team Quest quickly paid ff for Josh. He won the next 4 of his professional fighting matches and started working his way towards his dream, fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in Las Vegas. Josh is not competing in the The Ultimate Fighter 2 series. He lives and trains in Utah and works at his old high school as a football coach. Watch out for Josh Burkman in up and coming UFC championships. Josh Burkman's Achievements:Josh Burkman has very impressive records in both amateur and professional fighting. Josh fought in 10 amateur fights in 2003 and only lost 1. Since then Josh Burkman has had 9 professional fights including UFC and sport fighting championships. Josh has only lost 3 of those fights.
