Lee Haney

Lee Haney can be regarded as one of the best bodybuilders ever! Lee is a joint world record holder, winning 8 Mr Olympia titles! He was the man who beat Arnold Schwarzenneger's previous record of 7 titles! Now retired from bodybuilding, Lee Haney is still in the business, training, coaching and advising others.

Lee Haney's Bio:

Lee Haney was born in Fairburne, Georgia on November 11, 1959.

Lee began training in his teenage years and won his first major competition in 1979, at age 19, which was the 1979 Teenage Mr. America. In the same yeah Lee took out Teenage Mr. America Tall as well.

From here there was no stopping Lee Haney excelling to the top, winning his first Mr. Olympia in 1984. But his first was definately not his last! Lee won Mr. Olympia for the next 7 years, grabbing him the world record from Arnie!

Lee Haney held his record for 14 years until big man Ronnie Coleman equalled it in 2005. For now though, the two men share the record.

Lee Haney has since retired from Bodybuilding, but is still in the business. He now owns two gyms in Atlanta.

Lee also has a degree in youth counselling and has opened Harvest House, a retreat for young people outside of Atlanta. Lee is a 'born again' christian and does a great deal of work helping other people.
